The Heuer 2446 3rd execution, also known as the Jochen Rindt, was made between 1966 and 1969 – this is one of the very earliest examples from 1966. The Rindt came with 3 different bezels and by far the most popular to collectors is the Hour bezel as on this example, the Hour bezel has a cleaner more appealing look and they're much rarer than the alternative Tachy and the Minute bezels. One of the most important factors when choosing which Heuer to buy is the condition – in particular the restoration to the case and the dial. For this particular watch both the case and dial have never been restored and in particular the case on this example still retains the lovely razor-sharp chamfers on all four lugs. |
